- ALPINE MOUNTAIN HOUSE - We rented this stunning property and couldn't have made a better choice. I barely know where to start. For one thing, the location is ideal -- 16 miles from the southern entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park, 19 miles to White Pass Ski Area and 40 minutes to historic Mt St. Helens. Yet the house, perched as it is on a cliff overlooking the Cowlitz River, Tatoosh Mountains and the most spectacular view of Mt. Rainier, is a model of solace and quietude. Some days we spent hiking or sightseeing, but others, we chose to stay secluded in the peaceful environs of the home. Everyday, we were blessed seeing Eagles either flying or fishing the river for salmon, Elk grazing in the meadow below, Canadian Geese and Beavers hard at work gnawing on the trees. There is a chef's kitchen, tasteful and comfortable furniture and beds deep and lavish. What a pleasure it was to sit in the jetted tub in the master bedroom suite while looking out the large window at the scenery. Outside, the tiered decking with it's spectacular views became the perfect spot for us to unwind, even on those chilly days or evenings when all we had to do was flip the switch on the outside patio heater to keep warm. This house is so lovely and well-appointed you'll wonder what you did to deserve it. In two words: highly recommended. Sherryn and Jim
- THE RAINIER LOG HOUSE - Qu'est-ce qu'un bijou spectaculaire que vous avez ici! Merci de nous laisser en profiter. Grande touche de finition; vous nous avez fait sentir comme chez vous. Les enfants avaient un temps magnifique et épuisante à explorer la rivière, des bois, un ruisseau, etc Nous serons bientôt de retour lorsque le stress de la vie de la cité nous rattraper à nouveau!
